The story

I did not learn this from a book - I did the walk myself.

I built my companies the way most founders do: always on, always available, running on adrenaline and coffee. It worked, right up until it did not. The business was growing and I was disappearing.

The way back was not one big fix. It was sleep before strategy. Breathe before making the next move. Learning that a calm nervous system makes better decisions than a fast one. Only then came rebuilding the company, so it stopped feeding on my hours.

That last part is where technology came in. Most of my routine work now runs on systems and AI I built myself: reports, follow-ups, planning, admin. Not because AI is the point, but because rest is. Every hour a machine quietly takes over is an hour my head stays off.
